EPISODE 13: Tiny Homes, Big Profits - Interview with Unique Stay Expert, Zoey Berghoff

Listen on Spotify | Listen on Apple Podcasts

I interview Zoey Berghoff as she shares her wisdom on hosting unique stays!

  1. How did you get started with your first unique stay?

  2. How do you calculate your potential ROI on a unique listing?

  3. Do you personally start your search for new hosting opportunities with the property type first, or the market you want to be in?

  4. What are the biggest hurdles to hosting a unique stay? How do you train your cleaning team?

  5. How do you ensure guest safety, and safety of the property? Is there a way to deadbolt unique places like tree houses, tents, etc?

  6. What other sites (besides Airbnb) do you use to advertise your listings?

  7. What's the best advice you can give for preparing expectations of guests when it comes to a unique stay (ie: letting them know there's no AC, running water, wifi, etc)?

  8. What are your personal hosting goals? Are you trying to build a unique stay empire so to speak, or is this a temporary way to make enough cash to get into real estate investing and home ownership?!

Airbnb Quick Tip:

Post the most allotted photos allowed (52 photos) on your Airbnb listing and show the attractions around your property. For example, if your property is in a mountain town, showcase a picture of a nearby hiking trail to sell the experience to your ideal guest.

Am I the Airbnb-hole?

This week we react to a guest wanting to cancel their reservation on day 1 because the mom forgot their child at home.
